Chapter Six

The rest of the morning was surreal, and Jessica felt as though she’d fallen into an alternate universe. They lounged in bed for about another twenty minutes, then went downstairs to make breakfast. She wore nothing but a robe, and Alex wore his birthday suit. She whipped up some eggs, microwaved some bacon, and had just popped the toast in the toaster when Alex backed her up against the counter, shoved the robe wide open and dropped to his knees in front of her. And breakfast was cold.

They warmed everything back up in the microwave, took their plates back to their room, and had a naked picnic on their bed.

“Will you show me the rest of the books?” Alex asked, out of the blue.

Jessica was finishing up the last of her toast and nearly choked on the piece in her mouth. “What?”

“The books you have hidden in that box. I want to know what turned you on about them.” He cocked his head and gave her a measured look. “Are there things in them you’d like to try?”

Gulp. Plenty of them. Maybe sharing those with Alex would be easier now since he’d asked the question. Which meant he was interested in trying new things too. Right?

She hoped that was the case, but first, she wanted to be certain he knew what he was asking. “Are you sure you want to know? Yesterday morning, while you were all at baseball practice, I decided I’d rather have our sex life, and our marriage, just the way it is, and not take the chance of messing things up by making you uncomfortable. Or unhappy.”

“I’m sure.” He took her plate and put it on the nightstand with his, then clasped her hand, lacing his fingers through hers. “Honey, I love you. The thing that makes me unhappy is you hiding things from me. As for uncomfortable, I won’t know until you tell me what you want. Like this morning, when you took control. That’s something you wanted to try, wasn’t it?”

Thank God, he’d started with a relatively easy one, although she felt a blush warm her face. “Yes. I really wanted you tied to the bed but this was good too.”

“Damn, babe. Did you think I wouldn’t like being at your mercy? Sweetheart, that was, bar none, the best orgasm I’ve ever had.” Spots of color rose in his cheeks, making them a matched set. “Never in a million years did I think a finger up my ass would make me come, but between that and you swallowing my cock, it felt damn good. I’m not so sure about being tied up, but I’m willing to give it a try. Especially if it means another five-star orgasm.”

He blew out a long breath, then laughed self-consciously, waving a hand in the general direction of his semi-erect penis. “Jesus, I’m already getting turned on. Again. I’m thirty-six years old, and I’ve been hard more times in one day than I was as a teenager.
